How do I fill my prescription?
    If you already have a written prescription from your veterinarian for a compounded medication, it is easy to fill that prescription with Variety Pet
    Meds Pharmacy.  You can:

  1. Visit our pharmacy;
  2. Fax it to 718.978.6427;
  3. Email us a scan of your prescription; or
  4. Have your veterinarian call in the prescription to us toll-free at 800.567.6061

    If you are the pet owner and wish to fax or email your prescription, please make sure to include a telephone number where you can be
    reached.  Once we have your prescription, we will contact you to go over the price of the prescription, or you can call us at 800.567.6061 or
    718.723.2100.  We will also contact the prescribing veterinarian to confirm authenticity.  If you decide to fill it, you will need to provide your
    shipping and billing information.  Payment must be made in advance through cash, money order or a major credit card.  

    If you need to refill a prescription you have already received from Variety Pet Meds Pharmacy, call or email us.

How much will my prescription cost?
    The price of the prescription depends on the strength, dosage form and package size of the prescribed medication.  Variety Pet Meds requires
    a prescription in advance before we can quote a price, but this does not obligate you to fill your prescription with us.

Do you provide confidential consultations?
    Yes.  Our registered pharmacists are available for confidential, professional consultation in-person or via telephone at 718.723.2100 or
    800.567.6061.  Our pharmacists are dedicated solely to compounding and are available to answer any questions that you may have.

How long will it take to get my order?
    95% of prescriptions are prepared in our pharmacy the day the order is placed.  We ship via UPS Ground for delivery within 3 business days to
    the 48 contiguous states.  Refrigerated items, such as vaccines, require overnight delivery.  If there is an item that is not in stock, we will
    provide you with an estimated arrival date.  We provide shipment tracking numbers for all orders.  You can also call us for assistance.

What if I need to return my order?
    If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from Variety Pet Meds, simply return the product and we will apply a credit to your Variety
    Pet Meds account or personal credit card for 100% of its value, minus the shipping cost.  This does not apply to compounded prescriptions.

What are compounded pet medications?
    Compounded medications are prescribed when a veterinarian determines that the appropriate treatment is not otherwise available from a
    pharmaceutical manufacturer, or is not available in the strength, dosage form, flavor or package size the veterinarian thinks is necessary for
    treatment.  Our pharmacists prepare medications that meet the individual needs of your pet, and we work with veterinarians and animal care
    specialists to improve outcomes of drug therapy and reduce overall costs.
